Lycoris Recoil is officially green-lit for a new anime project after taking 2022 by storm and becoming one of the most terkenal shows of the summer season.
The official Twitter akun for the series sent out a tweet on Feb. 11, 2023, containing information about this new delve into the "girls with guns" anime. It spesifikasid the tagline, "Their story has not ended." and a link to a minute-long YouTube video featuring a montage of clips from the first season. Initially revealed during the "Lycoris Recoil Café Presents After Party! Tomorrow is Another Day!" even held earlier that day, the footage depicted some of the most memorable moments between the female deuteragonists, Chisato and Takina, including narration from their voice actors, Chika Anzai and Shion Wakayama, respectively. This teaser reached over 400k views within the first eight hours of being uploaded but did not include information on the proyek's pola or an official release date.
What Lycoris Recoil Is About
Lycoris Recoil focuses on a pair of assassins who work for an all-female task force known as Direct Attack. They also daylight as servers at a café named LycoReco, providing treats and layanan konsumen in between their missions. Season one saw their budding friendship develop as they battled against a frightening terrorist with links to a secret organization connected to Chisato's past. The series was an underground hit, heralded as one of the most underrated anime of 2022 and even drew the attention of the famous video permainan director Hideo Kojima, who expressed his enjoyment of the show.
Shingo Adachi (Sword Art Online, Irregular Hunter X, Rocketman X4) directed all 13 fragmens of the series, with the asli story coming from Asaura (Ben-To, Death Need Round, Fang of Dipandang remeh) and fragmens written by Yūsuke Kanbayashi (Tokyo 25th Ward, Millionaire Detective). The music was composed by Shuhei Mutsuki (Spy x Kerabat, Three Leaves, Three Colors, Overlord). In addition, the series has received a manga adaptation from Medium Haly, a light novel spin-off from ASCII Medium Works and a stage play performed at the Tennozu Galaxy Theatre in January 2023.
A-1 Pictures are the production company responsible for the anime and will continue developing this new project. No further information is available at this time. However, pengagum eagerly await a return to this highly terkenal judul.
Lycoris Recoil is available to stream on Crunchyroll in Japanese, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
